We are pleased to announce our summer camps for 2018!

Entrepreneur and Innovators Camp

Learn that dyslexia is really no disability...it has its own set of strengths that others don’t have. Get exposure to professions that reveal the inborn strengths of the dyslexic mind through a week-long, project-based learning experience. Participants use innovation, creativity, problem solving and empathy to build a business and marketing plan in a small-group setting.

This camp's curriculum is developed by Notice-ability, a company that focuses on developing courses that bring out dyslexic strengths. It is taught by Heidi Kroner, former Drake University business instructor and dyslexia advocate.

Solutions developed at past camps include: Microchipping easy-to-lose items to find them anywhere, Rent-a-dog businesses for those who can’t own a pet full-time,  and Perma-paper - paper that can’t be destroyed by water, wrinkled or ripped.

35% of entrepreneurs are dyslexic, 40% of self-made millionaires are dyslexic, and in Boston, dyslexia is known as the “MIT disease” because of the vast numbers that attend the nation’s top engineering university.

Customer Comments

"Our family wants to thank you from the bottom of our heart! We were so glad fate had our paths cross at the right moment...our first grade son was struggling with reading and starting to dislike school. You helped us understand his unique challenges and with tutoring, you’ve helped him become a great reader. Perhaps more importantly, this built his academic confidence and ability to learn that will forever change his life path! We are so grateful we started him early, and had the guidance and care from you all. We are so proud he has graduated (4th grade) - but I know he will actually miss seeing his friends at tutoring; he really came to love going! Thank you for being an incredible resource at just the right time! And please do use this testimonial, and refer folks to chat with us about our experience!"
